Randy was born in Savannah, Georgia in 1955. After several moves throughout the Midwest his family landed in Terre Haute, Indiana. He started attending Agape Christian Church in the early 70’s for the sole purpose of playing softball. Through the hard work and prayers of many people he accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and Lord.
In 1978 he married his high school sweetheart Dawn Sluder. They moved to Dallas, Texas, in 1981 where Randy attended Dallas Christian College. He graduated in 1993 with a BS in Religion and minors in Pastoral Ministry and Youth Ministry.
Randy and Dawn have three grown children: Erin, Ben, and Daniel. His hobbbies include woodworking, target and skeet shooting, guns, and cooking.
Randy served as Youth Minister at Highland Meadows Christian Church in Grapevine, Texas, and Woodlawn Christian Church in Knoxville, Tennessee.
In August, 2001 Randy accepted the call from First Christian Church of Center Point to serve as their Pastor. In 2004 FCCCP sold their buildings in Center Point, Alabama, changed their name to New Heights, An Independent Christian Church, and relocated to its current location in Argo.
Randy has a real love and passion for serving the great I AM who is Creator of all things. He is gifted in the areas of Teaching, Preaching, and Counseling.
